Synthetic Svabo is an ongoing series of AI-mediated self-portraits embedded in photographs from my working life.

The series explores metamorphosis, identity and the unstable relations between bodies, other animals, materials, technologies and environments.

Synthetic Svabo enters ordinary situations of academic and professional life radically reconfigured. The situations are real. The transformations are not.

The project works with metamorphosis, scale and human–more-than-human relations that also run through my earlier writing and artistic practice, while entering into conversation with Franz Kafka and Cindy Sherman.
