Research Question: How do environments, materials, and media shape human and non-human interactions across different scales to foster transformative experiences?
My research explores how curated environments act as dynamic mediators of learning, perception, and interaction. I’m fascinated by how human and non-human actors—through spaces, materials, and media—engage in complex systems of communication. By integrating art, science, and design, I create environments that support diverse knowledge ecologies, where multiple ways of knowing coexist, evolve, and enrich each other.
I approach this research through three interconnected strands of inquiry:
- Curating Exhibitions: Designing museum spaces that enable audiences to engage with scientific, cultural, and environmental themes.
- Curating Research and Learning Environments: Creating spaces and situations that support interdisciplinary inquiry and knowledge-building across scales.
- Independent Studio Practice: Using art as a form of research to investigate human-environment interactions.
Through these strands, I explore how environments—whether in museums, classrooms, or natural landscapes—mediate our understanding, foster connection, and inspire creative engagement.
