I work at the intersection of curatorial design, experience, and knowledge mediation. As a Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, I explore how environments—from museum exhibitions to outdoor learning spaces—can inspire learning, creativity, and connection. My research and curatorial practice bridge science, art, and philosophy, focusing on how we interact with environments across different scales. I evaluate environments and spatial experiences in terms of design, meaning, and human interaction.
I lead FNUG, a transdisciplinary research center reimagining education by integrating creative, nature-based, and interdisciplinary approaches. My work includes developing immersive, experiential spaces that allow participants to engage deeply with scientific, cultural, and environmental themes.
I am also Co-Principal Investigator at CUHRE, an elite center dedicated to fostering ecoliteracy, where we embed sustainability into education at all levels. My work investigates how spaces, objects, and surfaces serve as dynamic mediators of knowledge and perception, blending art, science, and design to inspire new ways of seeing and interacting with our surroundings.
