Examines how museum experiences are shaped through mediated, negotiated, and embodied forms of gazing, focusing on family-oriented “treasure trails” as a mundane but powerful exhibition technology – and uses video spy ware glasses for ethnographic gazing.

Video recordings were carried out with a pair of video glasses worn by a family member; these recordings document what these families look at, talk about, and how they move about as they solve the pamphlet exercises. A total of 13 families wore these spy-ware video glasses.
