In this project, I applied insights gained during my Ph.D., focusing on the role of cultural heritage in identity formation and environmental awareness. My postdoc work on Stevns Klint allowed me to delve deeper into these themes, employing them in a real-world setting where cultural and natural heritage intersected. Through the project, I explored how mediation strategies can foster a greater appreciation of natural sites and support efforts toward international recognition.
Working alongside Tove Damholt and our team, I developed the concept report, which contributed to Stevns Klint’s successful UNESCO application and its realization. By bridging academic insights with practical museum communication, I contributed to developing a visitor-centered approach, which combined multiple modes of visiting, participation and engagement.
